Here I am again. It has been a fantastic week, where I ended on the top of the victory podium, although I went into the tournament un-seeded and even shortly after I had problems with my hip and had a crick. It was like a dream to win two years ago, great again last year to be in the finals, but for the third consecutive year to be in the finals – that is unbelievable. As I now sit here with two gold medals and one silver medal, I don’t really believe it’s dawned on me that I have written history. Now I’m just looking forward to watch the match with my boyfriend It’s nice that I know the outcome, because I know how to make the ends truly thrilling. I think that everybody are allowed to act like a “drama queen” once in a while

At the start of the tournament, I had something in the heel, which gradually became worse during the week. I therefore have chosen to cancel my participation in the Swiss Open, which is played this week. I don’t want to take any chances and aggravate the injury further. My next goal is the European Championships in Manchester in April, where I want to be perfectly ready

Tine Rasmussen won her second All England title after a fantastic match against the defending champion Wang Yihan. The Final was a showdown between the un-seeded player Tine Rasmussen and  #1 seeded Wang Yihan.

In a stunning atmosphere where the many Danish audience gave Tine a brilliant support, she lifted the play to new heights. “She plays like a dream,” the Danish television commentator Steen Skovgaard said.

After 3 tough sets Tine could retire from All England as the winner. Hereby she equalized the Danish player Lene Køppens old record with two All England titles.

It was a fantastic week in Odense last week. Winning the Denmark Open tournament was really great J.  In front of a large audience the experience could not be better. Before the tournament I was very much in doubt whether I could keep a stable level. I therefore announced that I would take one match at a time, as I know that this works best for me. I was a little varying through the tournament, but when the best play was needed most, I found it. It was really nice to have a rematch against Wang Yihan, and right now I am very proud of the victory. To be honest I had not expected that my level was so high yet.

Now I am sitting in Paris and have begun to gain power and mental strength back. I have to admit that I was quite exhausted after last Sunday. The body has been tender and stiff, but is clearly on the mend now. Mentally you are a little exhausted after such a week, but the motivation is there, and when French Open starts I’ll be there J

 I once again play against Judith Meulendjiks from Holland in first round. Actually it was the same lot last year.

Denmark Open 2009 has started and I opened with a victory over Judith Meulendjiks from Holland. I had a convincing victory at 21-11, 21-7. I felt comfortable on the court and was focused through the whole match. I played in a high tempo and had the patience to wait for the chances. I had a good feeling and the play more and more looks like my earlier level. Tomorrow I will meet a young Japanese player, Megumi Taruno. I have not met her before, but know that she can play at a high level. She has previously beaten Zhou Mi. I therefore respect her, but she has to work hard, if she will beat me tomorrow J

Tomorrow I again play on court number 2 at 16:40.

Now Denmark Open soon will begin and I have already travelled to Funen to prepare myself. I am very happy to play in Denmark and hope for a well attended tournament.

I am seeded as number 2 in the tournament and play the first match on Wednesday at 15:20 against Judith Meulendjiks from Holland. A player that I usually can beat, but I have to keep focus. You will hear from me during the tournament.

Here they briefly will introduce the goals and expectations for this year’s Denmark Open and make a presentation of the Danish top players chances in the five categories. The assistant coach Lars Uhre, the sports manager Finn Trærup-Hansen, Peter Gade and Tine Rasmussen will be present at the press conference. There will be opportunity for individual interviews after the formal introduction.
